Jewelry Boxes

When my sister was young, she wanted an Aigner Purse, which at that time was one of the higher end purses. Our mom wouldn't buy her one. This has become an ongoing joke in the family. So I decided to make this jewelry box purse so she would finally get that Aigner purse she wanted.
The purse itself is hand carved out of a large chunk of walnut which was cut down in her back yard. The box is walnut with curly maple drawer fronts, and the drawer handles are walnut. The drawers are lined with anti-tarnishing felt.

I was commissioned to make this purse. The purse and base are made of cherry wood. The inside is lined with anti-tarnishing felt.

I made this for a family friend who likes Brahmin purses. The box and purse are made of Mahogany with Ebony drawer handles. The inlay consists of Curly Maple, Mahogany, and Ebony. The drawers are lined with anti-tarnishing felt.

I made this for my wife for our 25th anniversary (though I was late finishing it, so she got it for Valentine's Day). It is made of exhibition grade waterfall bugina veneer, and ribbon figured sapele. The keys are made of holly and ebony, and move like real piano keys. The top and drawer can only be opened by pressing a secret "chord" on the keyboard to unlock it. The drawers are lined with anti-tarnishing felt.
